How we check facts

Every fact on this site comes from the bank's or credit union's own website, or from the NCUA or the FDIC. Each one links to the page it came from and shows the date we checked it.

Where the facts come from

  1. The bank's or credit union's own website. AI research agents read the pages that state hours, membership rules and services, and record what each page says, with a short quote and the exact section it came from. We hold 2,000 facts from 1,263 sections of those pages. Each fact on this site links to its page, so you can check it yourself.
  2. The NCUA. The National Credit Union Administration, the federal agency that insures credit unions, publishes each credit union's members, assets, founding year and branch list every quarter. Our figures are from June 2026.
  3. The FDIC. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which insures bank deposits, publishes each bank's assets, founding date and offices. We list a bank's office as a branch when the FDIC calls it a full-service office and the bank's own website lists it as a branch customers can visit. Our bank figures are from June 2026.
  4. Nothing else. We do not use reviews, forums or paid listings, and we do not call, email or visit banks or credit unions.

What each status means

Offered
The bank's or credit union's website says it offers the service. We quote its words and link the page.
Not offered
The website says it does not offer it.
Not listed on their site
We did not find it on the website. The bank or credit union may still offer it: ask.
Some branches
The bank or credit union offers it at some branches but does not say which. Ask the branch.

Hours and Saturday opening

Branch hours come from the bank's or credit union's own branch pages, not from the NCUA's file, which can be out of date (the FDIC publishes no hours). We list lobby and drive-through hours separately, because many branches open only the drive-through on Saturday. Where a credit union's website gives no hours for a branch, we say so and show what the NCUA's file lists.

How often we check

We store the exact section of each page that a fact came from. On a schedule an AI agent reads each section again and compares it with what we stored. Hours and services are checked every three months; membership rules and fee schedules at least once a year; pages we expect to move, monthly. When a section changes, we read it again before changing a fact. Facts on this site were last checked on 10 October 2026.

What we do not do

  • We do not rank or grade banks or credit unions.
  • We do not give financial advice.
  • No bank or credit union pays to be listed, and listings are not for sale.

How we check our own work

Automated checks run on every change: each fact on the site must have its source page and the date it was checked, and the counts on each page must match the data. Ryan Harmon, who makes this site, sets the rules the agents follow and reviews the site.

If something is wrong

Banks and credit unions change their hours and services. If you see a fact that no longer matches the bank's or credit union's website, tell us and we will check it again.
